Problem Description

Issue

About 1-2 hours into playing with only 2 players the game crashes due to memory leaks. This is a problem with the game not the service you’re providing but I just wanted to know if it is possible for this Palworld instance to be moved onto a server with more RAM or by increasing the RAM some other way. Thank you.

Reproduction Steps

  • Start Server
  • Join with 2 players and play actively
  • Memory leaks and server crash

Apparently, from what I read online, it’s a memory leak bug that will have to be resolved by the Palworld devs. We’ve been proactively prevent server crashes by restarting the server on a set frequency. We set up a few scheduled tasks that automatically restart the server every 12 hours and another task that instantly restarts the server when the last person logs off. We also have the server scheduled to backup once every hour.

I upgraded to a 32 GB memory package and it still crashes. The current band-aid is the auto restarts.

That’s pretty much all there is to it - it’s a buggy game, so frequent restarts are the ‘solution’ for now.
