Problem Description

Issue

I am getting the following error when trying to start a minecraft server: The Minecraft server stopped within 5 seconds of starting, this is not a fault with AMP - you should check your Minecraft servers log files to find out why it is unable to start… - Do I need to have minecraft installed on the system before I can run a server?

Reproduction Steps

  • Created a server instance of java minecraft
  • Assigned resources to server.
  • pressed start recieved the error message in description

You will need to read the console or log to know why the server is unable to start, then resolve that issue.
If you can’t make sense of the logs you can share them here
