Problem Description
Issue
Me and my friends are trying to set up a new Minecraft Modpack server (Pixelmon 9.1.9) which uses forge-1.16.5-36.2.34, and after installing the forge server for the same version, we also uploaded the Pixelmon server files into the File Manager. After extracting everything into the directory and clicking the Run button, the server could not start. As an act of desperation, I deleted every file in that directory and only extracted the Pixelmon server files, for it only to crash the server again. I noticed that the server forge version is different than the client forge version, so i instead installed forge-1.16.5-36.2.35 in the server settings in the configurations tab WITHOUT installing or uploading anything else. Even after I only installed the vanilla server files, the server still refused to run. When I checked the log files, there are no errors that show up, and there are only 2 lines that indicate that the server was starting on a debian system.
Me and my friend is very new to hosting minecraft servers on any provider, so any type of help is much appreciated!
Reproduction Steps
- Created New Instance for a minecraft modpack
- Installed Forge Version 36.2.25 (1.16.5) in the server settings and clicked Download/Update
- Run the server only for it to crash
