Startup Issue with Minecraft - server won't start up

Problem Description

Issue

I went to switch from spigot to paper and when i did that it originally started with the “./Minecraft/paperclip.jar” message although the server already had the paperclip jar. It then proceeded to tell me that “The Minecraft server repeatedly failed to start, this is not a fault with AMP - you should check your Minecraft servers log files to find out why it is unable to start.” and my server won’t start up

Reproduction Steps

  • I click start
  • The server starts to start up
  • The server then proceeds to start for 10 seconds then stops and restarts

Did you accidentally select Paper 1.8.8? If not, then you’ll have to read the console to know why the server won’t start
