Startup Issue with Minecraft - server ported from pterodactyl not starting

Problem Description

Issue

every time i try starting the server i get prompted with stuff like “[main/ERROR]: Failed to start the minecraft server
java.nio.file.AccessDeniedException: ./world/session.lock”

Reproduction Steps

  • start server
  • wait for server to startup
  • it crashes

That can happen with any MC server setup if you take a copy of the server while it’s running. (can lead to corruption)
You can delete the session.lock file to allow the server to start again
