Problem Description

Issue

the server always comes to preparing spawn area: overworld when starting. After that the problem is that it says that it can’t start and you should look in the logs, unfortunately I don’t know enough about it. I’ve also tried to install an older backup but that didn’t solve it either.

Reproduction Steps

  • Starting server
  • Restore Backup (newest)
  • Restore Backup (older version)

You’ll still need to read the logs to know why it won’t load, can’t read minds over here lol. You can also double check to see that you’re allocating enough ram to the server.

The problem is that I can’t find the logs where it says why the server crashed. I can only ever find the logs of what the server was doing at the time it was starting up.

The error would be in the console if it’s crashing before it can even start the logger. Make sure you’re using the right Java runtime for the version of MC you’re running. (Java 8 for 1.16.5 and below, Java 17 for 1.17-1.20.4, then Java 21 for 1.20.6+)

I’ve got the right Java Version.
I don’t know why, but after I restarted the AMP instance, it suddenly worked again. Can you explain to me why this is the case?

I can’t explain, I don’t know your system lol

can you copy the log file that shows up in the file manager after the crash and post it here? Assuming you have high enough trust to do so.

There is no needed trust, logs don’t have sensitive info. Their issue is resolved, so there’s no point in reading their previous logs.

I’ve used the system from Hostinger (if it helps).

This isn’t Hostinger support

I know, but i dont always have to ask the actual support.
