Problem Description

Issue

So the server seems to randomly crash without giving a proper crash log. There are no errors inside the server console besides a warning which says “Can’t keep up! Is the server overloaded? Running --ms or – ticks behind”. This error however is just a lag warning, no crash log or whatever. Sometimes it happens after 30 minutes and sometimes it happens 7 times during 1 hour of playing. Its really hard to play like that, and I cant seem to find the reason, because on my older instance which was exactly the same version, same settings and same mods (just a different world), the server was running perfectly without any crashes at all.

Reproduction Steps

  • Started the server/instance (just like my older instance which completely worked fine)
  • Played on the server normally with some players, which the server should easily handle. None of the players did something weird which could have caused the crash
  • Server just crashed randomly without giving a proper crash log

If there’s nothing in the logs/crashlog, it might be an OOM error (Out Of Memory).

I guess not. The Memory does not go up to the full 8GB allocated (which should be enough for a vanilla server with ~5-7 ppl)

Might just be some weird mod issue then. Not much you can do if there’s nothing in any of the logs.
