Problem Description

Issue

the server is unable to start using the start button. i can run the server with run.bat in the file system, but i wouldnt be able to use amp for the console or reading out server usage

Reproduction Steps

  • reinstall forge at various versions
  • using run.bat in the file system on the server computer
  • reinstalling the amp instance

Running the run.bat in the AMP instance’s directory will mess up file perms, so that may be your issue.
If the run.bat is also an installer for a modpack you need to run that outside of AMP first, then upload the files over AMP’s built-in SFTP server or using the Web File Manager.
If you’re importing an existing server, then that also needs to be done over SFTP or in the Web File Manager.

If it’s just a fresh instance try creating a new one and provide the console output if you run into any errors.

this wasnt really the issue, the issue was more to the eula, i deleted that file on accident while amp was running. amp got confused while it was reset to false. my bad
