Problem Description

Issue

I attempted to install a custom made modpack onto the server so my friends and I could play it. The modpack works individually but when I attempt to run it on this host I run into a error which is causing the server to fail to even start up.

Reproduction Steps

  • Created a “mods” folder in the file manager
  • Drag and dropped the mods from curseforge into the mods folder on here
  • Cancelled that install due to taking to long
  • Restarted the process with the SFTP installer, repeating dragging the mods from my curseforge mods folder onto the mods folder on here
  • Attempted to start server up after mods were installed and it failed to launch
  • Clicked “Update” to see if that would fix the issue, which it did not

You’ll have to read the log and remove any client mods that cause the server to crash.
Most modpacks have a server pack available to avoid such situations.

This is the main error java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException so I’m not quite sure what mods are causing that because in a single player world it works fine.

That would probably be caused by using the wrong Java runtime, more notes on that here:
