Problem Description

Issue

After I created the instance and followed the tutorial on how to import an already existing server (therefore having imported the server.properties settings, set the startup jar, but then when I try to start the server from the panel, it shows that it is to start, I wait 20 seconds, and then I get an error and I’m asked to see the server logs, but I can’t find them because the last log dates back to 30 minutes before the issue. (The server contains spigot, bukkit and paper, could it be that? If so, how do I fix it? It’s fine to just have the world without plugins or anything, as long as I have the world and user inventories.)

Reproduction Steps

  • I created the instance
  • followed the tutorial on how to import an already existing server
  • imported the server.properties settings and set the startup .jar

You’ll need to check the console and/or logs to know what’s going on.
Make sure you have the right Java version selected for the version of MC you’re running

Thank you very much, I fixed it. The problem was that the “Minecraft” folder had the permissions of the old owner.
