Problem Description

Issue

Whenever I try to load in to minecraft server, I have a black screen and my y coordinate continues to decrease. After a few seconds, I am kicked out of the game and the server restarts.
I see this message in console:
Server Watchdog/ERROR23:23:10
A single server tick took 60.00 seconds (should be max 0.05)
Considering it to be crashed, server will forcibly shutdown.

Reproduction Steps

  • Was in process of exploring/generating new chunks
  • Server lagged and crashed
  • Now server always crashes and restarts when I load in

That means the area you’re loading into has enough going on that the server begins to stall out.
I would suggest increasing the watchdog count to 3min (just search watchdog in the upper right),
then see if the extra time helps.
If not, then there could be something wrong with a mod, or the chunk is corrupted somehow.
Please shoot over your logs/latest.log using something like https://mclo.gs/

I changed the watchdog count as you suggested and also logged out and in, and now things are good again. Thanks so much for your help!
