Problem Description

Issue

Server works on vanilla. Then I added some mods for a modpack in the files of the server, afterwards the server would not start, it would take a very long time to load. I also tried resetting the server and aborting the start and doing it again and updating Forge. While starting, the server tells me that the CPU usage is stuck at 0% after an initial spike to 90% and that the memory usage is stuck at 1.31/10GB with 0 active users. Please advise. The modpacks are: BM:Biosphere + Immersive weather + Distant horizons running on minecraft 1.20.1 and they work stable on my local client so I know there isn’t a minecraft compatibility issue.

Reproduction Steps

  • I have tried to restart the server
  • I have tried updating forge
  • I have tried aborting the server launch and re-created a new profile

Make sure you have the right version of Forge selected, and that the Server Jar is set to Autoselect
And make sure you delete the world before loading the pack, as Forge often waits for user input when overriding a vanilla world (you’ll need to read the console in such situations)
