Problem Description

Issue

Minecraft wont launch because it says java isnt installed yet i clicked yes on the installer and reinstalled it multiple times

Reproduction Steps

  • I clicked yes to install java when the setup was happening
  • I try to launch a minecraft server and it says i need java installed
  • reinstall java
  • repeat the install

Adoptium has removed their repo for your version of Ubuntu - that’s what happens when you use non-LTS versions

You will have to install Java yourself. Or use a LTS release (24.04), which is far preferable
