Problem Description

I was trying to start this server on some custom world files I downloaded. I connected to the server through filezilla, uploaded my custom world files to the correct folder, and then deleted the default world files. I then renamed my custom world files to be named ‘world’. Server won’t start. I saw some things about Forge in the console, but I’ve tested the mods on a single player world and everything is working in single player as it should be.

Reproduction Steps

  • Uploaded custom world files
  • Deleted default world files folder (called world)
  • Renamed my custom world file folder to be named ‘world’

Have you tried to start the server without the custom world to see if it starts normally?

You could also try the following:

  • Upload the custom world with its original name
  • Go to Configuration → Server Settings → Level Name → Scan for new worlds
  • See if you can select the custom world you uploaded in the dropdown
