Problem Description

Issue

I added a mod and now my server is unable to start

Reproduction Steps

  • updating
  • restart
  • change forge version

Remove the mod and see if the issue still occurs.
If not, look at the mod page to see if you’re missing any dependencies, or check to see if the mod is client-side only.
Again, please provide logs and version info.

I deleted the mod and my server is still not running. The dot next to “Game port 25565” is red, it used to be green. I’m using Forge version 1.20.2 and Minecraft version 1.20.2. Forge 1.20.2 Server Log [#KF2PGKr] - mclo.gs

Is that the entire log? It looks like it just cuts off towards the bottom.
If that is the whole log:

  • Enable Debug Logging
  • Try and start the server again
  • Right click the MC Instance and hit View logs, then send that AMP log and we’ll see if it has any additional info.

From my tests, Forge 1.20.2 works fine in AMP, so there’s probably something small throwing things off, Forge can be quite temperamental at times.

how do i enable debug logging? Forge 1.20.2 Server Log [#Icog1MI] - mclo.gs

That first bullet point has a link to a guide on how to enable debug logging

ok so enable the “Debug Logging”, i restarted the server and I’m still getting “The Minecraft server repeatedly failed to start, this is not a fault with AMP - you should check your Minecraft servers log files to find out why it is unable to start.” these are the logs Vanilla Server Log [#ARlTVhV] - mclo.gs

Doesn’t look like Cobblemon has a download for 1.20.2, you’ll need to use Forge 1.20.1.

[02:45:29] [main/ERROR]: Missing or unsupported mandatory dependencies:
Mod ID: 'minecraft', Requested by: 'cobblemon', Expected range: '[1.20.1,1.20.1]', Actual version: '1.20.2'

wow, im so dumb. I’ll change the forge version to 1.20.1 and see if that works. Thank you for your help!

Yeah for sure! You may need to delete the world folder, as those aren’t down-gradable
