Problem Description

Issue

I’m just trying to spin up a vanilla, most up to date, minecraft server for my friends. I didn’t really change anything but it wont start as its saying theres an error with the version.

Reproduction Steps

  • Create a Minecraft Java Instance
  • Configure it to have more ram and such
  • Click start, and it errors and says it is unable to

Error:
Error: LinkageError occurred while loading main class net.minecraft.bundler.Main
java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: net/minecraft/bundler/Main has been compiled by a more recent version of the Java Runtime (class file version 69.0), this version of the Java Runtime only recognizes class file versions up to 65.0

Hey,

Sounds like the Java runtime isn’t support the latest Minecraft version.
Maybe change it to 1.21.11 minecraft version server
