Startup Issue with Minecraft - Incompatible vanilla server

Problem Description

Issue

I installed a Minecraft FTB pack via AMP. I selected from the FTB server setting and chose the Unstable 1.20 forge modpack. I pressed Download and selected the modpack jar file.

The server starts correctly but upon entering the server I see the error Incompatible vanilla server.
Unstable is modpack name.
I noticed that using the server downloaded directly from FTB everything works correctly.

Reproduction Steps

  • Install FTB modpack Unstable
  • Run
  • Minecraft FTB unstable client error message

After downloading the pack via the ftb server type, you need to change server type to forge and select the forge version required. Leave server jar on autoselect, don’t pick one yourself.

OK thank you. Now I try. Forge should be 47.1.3.
