Problem Description

Issue

I’m attempting to run a modded minecraft server (Dawncraft). On the first instance of it running, Me and about 5 others were able to play for about 30 minutes before the first crash. After that, once more than one person would to try to join, it would crash the server after about 15-30 seconds.

Reproduction Steps

  • Launch Server
  • 1 person joins
  • person 2 joins
  • The server crashes

Make sure you’ve allocated enough resources to in the instance’s Java settings.
Otherwise, I’d suggest you read the log to see what’s going on there.

Yeah I have about 7.5 GB of ram assigned, I see no resource usage spikes, I just get a watchdog error that say a tick is taking about 60 seconds which is why it shuts off, I just don’t know why a tick is taking so long

It’s a heavy modpack, so that’s not too surprising.
You can try changing the max tick time to 180000 (3min) to see if that helps the rough spots.
