Problem Description

Issue

i tried to install modpack from curseforge called:“create: above and beyond” i set up engine and it version correctly but the error is keep poping up:“Exception in thread “main” java.lang.IllegalAccessError: class cpw.mods.modlauncher.SecureJarHandler (in unnamed module @0x6107227e) cannot access class sun.security.util.ManifestEntryVerifier (in module java.base) because module java.base does not export sun.security.util to unnamed module @0x6107227e” and i dont know how to fix it i tried everything but nothing worked and now normal server without mods wont start too.
please help.

Reproduction Steps

  • i tried installing older version java to work with mod because it s pretty old
  • i tried to enable headless mode but it didnt work too
  • i was trying to fix x11 but nothing has changed after that
  • then i tried installing newest version of java to create normal server without mods but the newest version but it didnt work too

That modpack would need Java 8 or Java 11 to run correctly
(you also need to select the Java version in AMP’s settings. Just having it on the system won’t do anything)
