Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: io.netty.handler.codec.EncoderException: java.io.IOException: Root tag must be a named compound tag

Reproduction Steps

  • Install All of Fabric 7 modpack in Curseforge launcher
  • Click “Play” and join the server
  • Error message shows up while joining the server

Double check that you’re using the server modpack and that you have the Fabric server type selected
