Problem Description

Issue

Error message:
Error: LinkageError occurred while loading main class net.minecraft.bundler.Main
java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: net/minecraft/bundler/Main has been compiled by a more recent version of the Java Runtime (class file version 69.0), this version of the Java Runtime only recognizes class file versions up to 65.0

Updating does not help. This was working fine and suddenly stopped.

Reproduction Steps

  • Click start
  • Observe log
  • Try again and keep failing?

This is still an issue.

I changed Release Stream to Specific Version and selected Official Version 26.1.2 (Release) to get a fresh instance started.

see https://discourse.cubecoders.com/t/startup-issue-with-minecraft-server-immediately-crashing-due-to-some-java-error/39129/2?u=smokingwheels

I followed this advice of changing java version down then up starting each time.
