Problem Description

Issue

We completely uninstalled and reinstalled the AMP server using the latest download but we still cannot start instances. Can you help please?

Reproduction Steps

  • Removed old AMP installation and services
  • Downloaded new package from website and installed fresh
  • Created a new “test” instance of Minecraft Java but cannot start it - error

Read the log to see why it failed to start

Thank you for replying.
The console is showing this:
Error: LinkageError occurred while loading main class net.minecraft.bundler.Main
java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: net/minecraft/bundler/Main has been compiled by a more recent version of the Java Runtime (class file version 65.0), this version of the Java Runtime only recognizes class file versions up to 62.0

I’m trying to find the log file location now.

That error means you need to use Java 21 with the version of MC you’re running
