There is nothing to fix. When prompted in AMP, log in to Steam with an account that “owns” the game. It will install and run just fine
I do own the game and I did login during the prompt.
I literally just installed a new instance to test, no issue
Maybe post your logs from the instance
Here is steamcmd on windows vs AMP.
Again, it’s not my account and I linked the github because it accurately shows the problem as well for other people attempting to use the linux steamcmd.
On the Windows variant as well, anonymous login also allows the appid to download.

I know Windows allows anon download. Windows isn’t the issue with how Valve has set up the appid.
The template used to use the “hack” of downloading the Windows files first, then switching to Linux, but that stopped working for people a few months ago, and so the template was switched to login back in March.
