Problem Description

Issue

After pressing “Start” following Error Message appears:
“You must select a specific IP address for this server to function correctly in AMP. Loopback/Any IP addresses are not supported. You can change this setting under Configuration → Security and Privacy → Application IP Binding.”

For any other Server works “0.0.0.0 (Any IPv4 Address)”.

What should i do? I have only the following settings: “Any IPv4 Address” / “Any IPv6 Address” / “Loopback (IPv4)” and “(eth0)”

Reproduction Steps

  • Installed an fresh Version of Garry’s Mod
  • Pressed “Start” for starting the server
  • Got the following Error Message

eth0 is the right choice. Binding to a specific IP is so that the srcds UDP logger is able to work to provide console output - its a bug in the UDP logger that AMP has to work around

BTW, the AMP docker image is not a supported setup to run AMP

Thank you for the fast answer.

But this drops another error message:

“This task could not be completed: Starting Garry’s Mod… - - State: 3.
Application stopped unexpectedly with exit code 139.”
