Problem Description

Issue

SteamCMD do somthing stuck at Verify Step and give the information “No Cached Credentials”

Reproduction Steps

  • Create Instance
  • Manage Instance
  • Start DayZ Server
  • Enter Steam Credentials
  • Update Task Running

same here, tried ubuntu and debian, both no luck,deleted and installed many times but nothing fixed

I’m having the exact same issue but with Terraria. I posted here about 3 days ago and haven’t received a response yet. Seems like an issue with the way AMP handles the steamcmd login for games that require you to own them, or issue with steamcmd.

Just purchased AMP and set up my first instance. Having the same issue with DayZ server- “Cached credentials not found.” If you manage to get a resolution, please post it in the comments so I don’t have to open another ticket for the same thing. (Windows install)

i had solved the problem … in my case (windows) i must use (as amp user) a seperate steamcmd instance and login and verify with steam guard afert that i had copy & paste the cached credentials to the amp instance steamcmd … if u use docker u can login to ur docker and switch from the root user to the amp user and start the steamcmd.sh

too complicated and doesnt work well on linux they should fiix it ASAP! every update they made lately seriously breaks something!!

This is not AMP’s fault. Valve has made a change to SteamCMD that broke scripting functionality. We are putting in a fix tomorrow specifically to address it. Keep your eye out for an announcement.

send the log to steam and they never mentioned any change, they told me to check network and port forwarding, clean cache and many many other “solutions” which none worked but none came up to tell me “yes we changed something and you should ask your software developer for fix” whats wrong with steam?

There’s been cases where AMP was at fault, but this isn’t one of them. We hadn’t even released an update lately as we’re preparing a whole new build using .NET 8. :slight_smile:
