Problem Description

Issue

I am trying to host a DayZ server, it seems like the experimental version is the only one to run on Linux. after setting it up I can not find it in the game launcher or even direct connect to it thru the ip. within the game panel everything shows to be online and working right, but when I launch the game I can not find the server.
I dont know if the server files are outdated from the game files as dayz recently had an update.

is it even possible to run a dayz server here? can you help me get it working please?

Reproduction Steps

  • make dayz server
  • dayz server says online thru the host
  • open dayz game launcher
  • search for your server, nothing shows up
  • try direct connect, enter ip, failed to connect
  • tried connecting from game panel to steam, failed to connect
  • still cant find my server

I didn’t realize that I was posting to a form when making the support ticket.

For context: I am hosting thru hostinger vps, I opened all the ports on the firewall.
when I try to direct connect thru steam I get app id invalid, and the server does not show up in the launcher.

is this still supported after the recent dayz update?

same issue but all of the ports have to be green idk how to fix 2303 ive been looking allot

The reserved port is exactly that - reserved. It is not used (currently), but is included for future proofing and to assist with port allocation logic.

Check the DayZ Guide in this forum re the section on ports and make sure yours are consistent.

OP, for network related issues you will need to contact Hostinger for support.

how would i make the reserved port used
