Startup Issue with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2011) - Server not starting correctly

Problem Description

Issue

Got an issue with a new instance of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2011). As far as I can tell it installed, and started, but nothing was showing in the dedicated server panel (everything is open and forwarded correctly).

Suddenly, the master and the authentication ports went into ‘not listening’ status. So I attempted to reboot the instance for it to hang. Had to hard kill it.

Started it back up, server says it is running and all ports are listening, however the console output is blank and I am still not seeing it in the server list.

Also, the RAM and CPU usage is at 0% across the board.

I do not think it is actually running.

Is there an issue with the instance build?

My AMP build is sitting on Ubuntu 24.04.02 LTS.

Reproduction Steps

  • Starting server
  • Server says it is running but there is nothing in the console output
  • attempt to restart or stop server results in requiring to force kill it because it will not restart/stop

Looks like the monitoring is an issue for this one. But there is no console output on Linux in AMP from what I can see. Are the ports not showing as listening every time or just the one time? Stopping the server likely isn’t working properly due to the monitoring trouble. I’ll see if I can get the template fixed to address that.

Ports will all show as listening, then after a while the Authentication Port and the Master Server Port will go into ‘Not Listening’.

During install, I see this error:

After the install is finished, I see this:

Got the main part addressed for monitoring. Try making a new instance and you should have the latest change. If that one has issues let me know.
