Startup Issue with ARK: Survival Evolved - continuously updating when attempting to start instance

Problem Description

Issue

every time i click start, the instance will update for a couple mins, and when that is complete, it will stop updating for a few seconds, and begin another update automatically.

Reproduction Steps

  • start instance
  • let it run
  • begins to update
  • loops update

Set your steam release to pre-aquatic. Its a bug with the latest update of the dedicated server branch that came with the newest DLC. Ark still have not fixed it yet.
