Problem Description
Issue
I bought the server just about an hour ago and tried installing Ark Survival Ascended. A popup told me there were additional steps, with a link to a guide on what was required. The guide, however, didn’t tell me HOW to install the dependencies required. Where do I do this? Is this a Linux or a Windows server? I can’t find any information on any of this, and in the meantime the server won’t start.
Reproduction Steps
- Buy the server and create an ark survival ascended instance and install it
- read that it requires additional setup steps like installing visual c++ and dependencies
- look in the settings of your instance for where you can upload/install required dependencies
- Re-read the troubleshooting guide and find that you need to go outside of AMP to install said dependencies
- search vainly for how to install anything outside of AMP
