Problem Description
Issue
I have a troublesome windows server core instance that won’t start after the upgrade from 2.4.6.6 to 2.4.6.8 // ampinstmgr never was registered to the path while installing, so i had to restart manually every time since the start. Now i can’t even manually start it. Is there a Solution for both problems?
Reproduction Steps
- Installing instance on windows server core
- Upgrading the instance via webui
- Trying to manually start the instance after the upgrade, because it didn’t startup by itself
Soo i figured out the startup issue. Not all child instances on this node got updated for whatever reason. I manually started the update fore each and every one and got it started afterwards. I couldn’t figure out how to add ampinstmgr.exe to the path variable.
So im still stuck with manually managing this node
