Problem Description

Issue

hi, i have been using a minecraft modded istance for some days now. since this night the server started lagging really bad and now that istance is unusable, because after like 30/40 minutes of loading it just crashes as soon as i join the game. i tried with another 2 istances, 1 modded and one purely vanilla but neither works. the vanilla one works but it lags so much it is basically unplayable.

Reproduction Steps

  • i create and setup the istances
  • i try to start them
  • and after a very long period of time they simply crash due to being many tick back and the game is unplayable

I would check your memory allocation first. Probably needs more allocated to Java.

thank you for responding, java memory allocation is 2000 min heap and 6000 max heap and till yesterday it worked perfectly. could it be a throttling problem?

I’ll defer to @Bodrew on this one as he is more knowledgable on Minecraft than I am.

Okay thank you. Do i need to do anything to get in contact with him or he just need your tagging? Im new here so i dont really know how it works. Thanks

He should see this from the tagging when he checks in.

Run a spark profiler to find the cause of lag spikes and TPS issues:

Thank you guys, i found out ive been limited beacuse of the cpu usage. i now made things optimal for a normal usage
