Problem Description

Issue

I am new to this software and hosting games in general

Every Minecraft Instance is giving the same error
Unable to start instance
An unknown failure occurred trying to star this instance. Check its logs for further information Exception message: The Process object must have the UseShellExecute property set to false in order to use environment variables.
I did try to use docker and that failed since I dont know what I am doing…
I couldn’t get it to work.

I think I put all the changes I made for docker back to normal but at this point I dont know how to fix this. Need to know how to change that property or if there is a way to set the settings to default values…that might be helpful too.

Reproduction Steps

  • Tried uninstalling
  • Tried reinstalling AMP no effect
  • Tried created new Minecraft instances … all new instances have same problem
  • Looked through all config files I could find for the UseShellExecute property but cant find any place to change this property
