StarBound Can't Change Port

OS Name/Version: Ubuntu 20.04.5 LTS

Product Name/Version: AMP Release “Halimede”
v2.4.0.4, built 10/09/2022 16:30

Problem Description: I cannot seem to change the port for Starbound. The game port is not an option when right clicking starbound’s instance and selecting edit ports. Editing the config file directly also doesn’t seem to work. How do I change the port?

Steps to reproduce:

  • Right click starbound instance, select edit ports
  • Game port is not an option to edit

Actions taken to resolve so far:
Attempted to change port through AMP menu
Attempted to change port in config file directly

What options do you get in the “Edit Ports” option?

Looks like the StarBound module lacks the metadata for port settings. So right this moment it can’t be changed, but I’ve queued this up to be fixed for the next update.

Edit: There’s a new StarBound module that’s almost ready to go from the community based on the Generic module. So keep an eye out for that.

It was released tonight. Go to Configuration->Instance Deployment and Fetch the latest before refreshing your browser and it should be in the list.

I fetched the latest but it didn’t update the previous iteration, it looks like there’s two different entries for Starbound(StarBound?)

i created a few new instances to test;
Starbound gives the option to choose ports
StarBound was the original setup

The first one is the new generic module template.

The second one is the old official module - it will be marked as legacy in the next AMP update (official modules are updated through AMP updates, generic module templates can be updated through fetching the latest repo files).

Understood, thank you for the quick response on this! I appreciate the help
