Upload custom Space Engineers save

Problem Description

Issue

I would like to ask for guidance on how to properly upload and run a custom save on my Space Engineers dedicated server. My friends and I have been playing on this save locally, and we would like to transfer it to the server so we can continue playing together.

I have already attempted to upload the save files to the appropriate directory, but the server either creates a new world or fails to load the save. Could you provide detailed steps on the correct process to ensure the save loads properly?

Reproduction Steps

  • Uploaded custom save files to /servers/Saves/OurSave/ on the Space Engineers server.
  • Modified SpaceEngineers-Dedicated.cfg to set WorldName as “OurSave”.
  • Started the server via AMP, but it either creates a new world or fails to start

Make sure you use AMP’s File Manager or AMP’s SFTP to transfer the save files to the server, or file permissions will likely be broken

Also, set the WorldName in the AMP UI (Configuration>Space Engineers>General) rather than directly in the cfg file
