Whenever I try to start the Garrys Mod Server, the source RCON is banned from the srcds server and I can’t enter anything in the AMP console. I located the ban files and all are empty. It is then always displayed as if the server had never been started. Anyone having the same problem? I am using the Generic Module from Garry’s Mod.

The map is loading, that’s no problem. I have already checked the logs and everything else looks normal. The server settings are also accepted by the server. Only when AMP tries to connect to RCON, the web interface is banned and the RCON connection to the server is terminated. AMP still shows that the server is starting, but in the Steam browser the server is shown as online. Is there an option in srcds that the IP address is not banned? So a kind of whitelist?

It looks like, my https connection was the problem? Or something other?
IP binding on this server is the same as the other servers. That’s why I’m wondering why GMOD doesn’t run and the other srcds run with the same configuration without any problems. Something must be different with GMOD than with the other srcds servers.
I have found a solution: The password was too short with 10 characters. I have generated a new password on an Internet site, which contains upper and lower case letters and numbers. This time the password is 20 characters long and it also starts the server. Done!
