Problem Description: Slow response, server will not run or update

Steps to reproduce:

Actions taken to resolve so far:
Uninstalled reinstalled, tried manually updating C++, Manual install of Java, refresh OS, Checked for updates of OS, none, Repair install of AMP

Need you to elaborate more on this because you’ve included almost no description of what the problem is. It should take the format of: “When I do this, I expect X to happen, but instead - Y happens.”

I created an instance and go to update or run the server to activate it and it just times out, in the logs it says slow response and never actually starts the server.

Is this a brand new installation or one you’ve been running for some time?

New, just got the program.

You shouldn’t need to update anything, have you actually managed the instance yet by double clicking it?

If you’re unable to manage it, right click it and select “View Logs” and look at the most recent log file (which will be at the bottom)

I have tried to start it through manage and it loads a couple things then stops, here is the latest log.

You’re missing the 32bit C++ runtimes specifically. Install this : https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x86.exe - even if you think it’s already installed.

Ah, i re-installed the 64bit as this is a 64 bit computer. Was unaware I needed the 32

I had the same issue when doing an upgrade. Strangest thing is that it worked fine before the AMP upgrade but I had to reinstall C++ runtime. I registered just to say thank you because it took me a while to find this topic.

I was stuck on this part of the error message but this apparently has nothing to do with the actual issue.

amp Tried to merge config file ./Valheim/793210/./BepInEx/config/valheim_plus.cfg but the file does not exist.

Maybe add to the FAQ?
