Server woken every hour when in sleep mode

OS Name/Version: Debian version 12

Product Name/Version: Application Manager version 2.5.0.8 - 20240502.1

Problem Description: My MC server gets woken every hour, and it annoyed me so much, and when I went into the logs, it says Server woken from sleep by Login from 129.80.82.129, which Virus Total deemed that 3 found the url malicious VirusTotal

Steps to reproduce:

  • Didn’t take any steps really, since I have no idea why this is happening.

Actions taken to resolve so far:

Not anything yet.

Yeah, that would be some bot scraping the internet for MC servers.
You could block the IP in your firewall and see how things go from there.
The bots are dumb and don’t track what servers they’ve already pinged.

How do I block the IP? I’ve got Debian and blocked it via iptables & ufw, but they still freaking go through!

Edit: ah I may have figured it out. I set the order in ufw so that the blocking rules are at the very top. Hopefully that prevents it, but we’ll see.

Edit 2: Didn’t work. This is ridiculous!!! How the heck do I get it to stop receiving the MESSAGES
