With the recent announcement of 1.0 for SCUM, and the announcement of Server Files for Self Hosting. Will AMP end up offering support for Scum at some point down the road?
Yes. The devs are supposed to be releasing further information on the server this week, after that I will be updating my draft template in anticipation
They have released the server files, is it possible to make a template for it so we can use it?
its working!!! just try again via steamcmd!
Steam>app_update 3792580
You mean working as you put it on a server? if so how did you manage I cant figure out how to make a template and then upload it to a server. Im pretty newbs with everything so If you could explain in the most basic explanation that would be nice <3
I was able to download and run the server! he keeps himself in the processes. there is no console, I was able to access it via ip:port 127.0.0.1:7779, I register console in the BAT, the reaction is zero, it also hangs in the process. please help me open the console!
I entered “login anonymous” in steamcmd, then took “app_update 3792580” from here https://steamdb.info/app/3792580 / . downloaded, went to the folder “SteamCMD\steamapps\common\SCUM Server\SCUM\Binaries\Win64” there is a file "SCUMServer.exe " I opened it, it was empty, but files started loading, but the console doesn’t open, it’s hanging in the process. in the folder “SteamCMD\steamapps\common\SCUM Server\SCUM\Saved\Config\WindowsServer” in the file “ServerSettings.ini” I wrote the line “scum.ServerPort=7779” and changed the name of the server, I also registered my Steam id in the “AdminUsers.ini” file in the “STEAMID[godmode]” format, it looked something like this “777777777777[godemode]” - this is how I gave myself administrator rights, and everything works! Except for the console.
do you also know how to set up automatic server updates and restarts?
