Recent GitHub Failures

Microsoft decided GitHub should no longer cater to anonymous users without notice. They have tightened the request limits to unusable levels which is causing many of you to get errors when fetching templates or running updates on game servers. There’s no easy way for AMP to accommodate that change as this would require every user to login to GitHub inside every container which isn’t a realistic fix.

CubeCoders is hosting a mirror of the GitHub repo, on the existing CloudFlare CDN that serves AMP releases, that’s updated every 5 minutes which is where we’ll be pulling config files from going forward.

What do you need to do?

  1. Updating your existing instances from the ADS “Instances” tab will repoint them to the new template source.
  2. Keep your eye out here for an AMP update in the near future that contains a fix for the main ADS “Fetching latest configurations…” notification getting duplicated hundreds of times that was triggered by their change.
