Q: Tier upgrade and refund policy.

Hello CubeCoders Team,

I’m considering purchasing an AMP Professional Edition license for my home server setup.
Before I proceed, I’d like to clarify a couple of things:

  1. License upgrade policy:
    If I purchase the Professional Edition now, will I be able to upgrade later to the Advanced Edition by simply paying the price difference, or would that require buying a new license? What is the exact process of the upgrade? Any restrictions?

  2. Refund policy after activation:
    If I activate my license but later find that AMP doesn’t work with a particular game server I need to host (for example, no matter what I try, I will not be able to connect to the Astroneer server), would it still be possible to request a refund in that case?
    I understand refunds may be limited after activation, but I’d like to confirm the current policy for Professional Edition licenses.

I’d really appreciate a quick confirmation on both points before I finalize the purchase.

  1. Yes, you can upgrade at any time after the fact and you just pay the difference between the two tiers. You can do the upgrade from your licence account which is created automatically after purchase.
  2. Generally no. The main requirement for a refund to be considered because of a specific game not running is that you asked support for assistance (and provided the appropriate information, cooperated with their requests, etc) and yet it couldn’t be addressed in a reasonable amount of time, and that the issue is not down to user error or incompatibility (running games in the emulation layer for ARM for example is very hit and miss, not running in it would be ruled an incompatibility) - so far this hasn’t ever happened because if there is an issue it affects a lot of people and is picked up quickly.
