PC AMP Soulmask = Not avail on any ip or port

Product Name/Version: (Always use the full version number - not ‘Latest’) AMP 2.5.0.12

Problem Description: PC AMP Soulmask = Not avail on any ip or port

Steps to reproduce:

  • Step 1 Install Soulmask
  • Step 2 Start Server
  • Step 3

Actions taken to resolve so far: Tested in network to go via local ip since the default did not work.

It ended with me shutting AMP down. Reverting back to HaruHost

Soulmask works with local ip and public ip with
WindowsGMS and HaruHost.

With AMP Soulmask is stonedead.

All apps has been launched on the same computer. It even works to run Soulmask manually, but not with AMP. I could use some help here. Right now I paid like 9 euros to lose something I already had, and it sucks.

What’s the server binding in AMP? How about some logs?

I have tried different ip bindings. No one succeeded. Now everything is reset to default. AP IP Binding = 127.0.0.1 Loopback IPV4. Application IP = 0.0.0.0 Any IPV4.

Does AMP show the ports as listening?

I think so. The Soulmask picture on the server shows, depending on binding 0.0.0.0:8777 or x.x.x.x:8777. Part from that I do not know.

Well does AMP show the ports as ‘Green’ on the status page?

In manage all ports but RCON shows green.

Tested Ark Evolved, same part from that RCON to is green.

All says green and working. Yet no server, as long as AMP is used.

Beats me how to solve.

If the application is listening then it’s not an AMP issue (AMP has nothing to do with connectivity) so the problem lies elsewhere.

Can you connect from a different device on the same network, using your internal IP?

If no - it’s a firewall issue. If yes, it’s a port forwarding issue.

Me and a friend are playing Soulmask via public ip, right now. We can still use different server managers, but not AMP. Doubtful if it really is port forward. In that case almost has to be, something that AMP requires in that case.

So to be clear.

Server is within my own internal network, and avail and as public.

SteamCMD + Soulmask = Works (Public & Internal)
WindowsGSM + Soulmask = Works (Public & Internal)
HaruHost + Soulmask = Works (Public & Internal)
AMP + Soulmask = Stone dead (Public & Internal)

So in my eyes the problem must be somehow related to AMP. Possibly AMP requires some port forward that doesn’t exist. Otherwise, the first three wouldn’t work either.

If you can’t connect locally then it’s a firewall issue. If you open up the Windows Firewall, are there AMP rules for that instance?

Connectivity issues are never AMPs problem. It’s always something else. No exceptions.

I can’t confirm yet.

Reset firewall and monitored installation. No rules were created. Created manually via the command on the support page. No rules were created for Soulmask either. Had to do as before. Dumping firewall shows that rules now exist.

But as I have an ongoing refund case via Paypal if this is not resolved, my license is locked. Thus, I also can’t start Soulmask server to see if it works now. So now it doesn’t work, or does it? As astated in my dispute I do however see a working solution prior to a refund.

That’s part of why you shouldn’t raise disputes (PayPal won’t issue refunds for virtual goods anyway). It doesn’t get your question answered quicker, it slows the process down. There are proper methods for escalating an issue if you have a licence that comes with priority support. Your licence should show as active again shortly so you can try again.
