Ngrok TCP Tunnels not working with Minecraft (AMP Instances)

OS Name/Version: Ubuntu 20.04. LTS

Product Name/Version: AMP Release “Decadeus”
v2.4.6, built 09/08/2023 17:53

Problem Description: Using a TCP Tunnel (e.g. Ngrok) causes issues.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Step 1: Setup an TCP Tunnel (e.g. via Ngrok) to the opened Minecraft Server Port.
  • Step 2: Try connect to the Server…
  • Step 3: Step 2 will result in the error “Failed to verify username!”

Actions taken to resolve so far:
I couldn’t find a solution yet but I can confirm, setting up a Server without AMP and setting up Ngrok will result in no issues, so it must have something to do with AMP.

EDIT:
I found the solution -
The setting “Disallow proxied connections” needs to be disabled.
