This is only my personal experience, so I do NOT claim it to be generally valid.
I installed a Soulmask instance on my
NiPoGi Mini PC
- Ιntel Alder Lake Ν95(up to 3,4 GHz)
- 8GB DDR4
- 256GB SSD
which is obviously too weak for that.
First time with docker (since I’m already running homeassistant within docker on it).
Second time without docker.
Both cases failed, when trying to start the instance the complete machine freezes.
First webinterface loses connection, then xserver isn’t accessible and finally even puTTY console access gets ridiculously slow (about a letter typed per minute).
Finally I “pulled the plug”.
No, not in a figurative sense.
So, please do not select ‘autostart the instance on boot’, when configuring your instance.
Otherwise you have to hurry, when rebooting to stop the instance, before the system freezes.
