Problem Description

Issue

I was looking through the audit logs of my modded minecraft instance and saw something that seemed weird:“194.15.36.63 has been banned from SFTP, ignoring connection attempt.” This is not my IP address. Could you help me with protecting the server and files against this or is this of no concern?

Reproduction Steps

  • I looked online to see if i could find anyone or anything that had the same audit log or problem.
  • I went into the settings of the minecraft instance and changed it so that an IP could not try to login anymore ater 2 failed attempts in 1 minute. This did not change anything as far as i could see in the audit logs
  • I asked the Hostinger AI assistant for help, but it did not provide me with anything that I understood I could do.

Just to note, we are not Hostinger, this is the forum for AMP.
AMP blocks the SFTP connection after a few failed attempts, and bots try to log into anything facing the web. As long as you have a good password you should be fine tbh.
