Problem Description

Issue

I wish I could tell you more. It won’t let me run any backups, and I want to back up my instance before I update the server modpack.

Reproduction Steps

  • Stop Instances
  • Updated the AMP
  • Set schedules
  • Running manual backups

Check the logs of the instance, it should tell you the reason for the failure

Here is the relevant information from the logs regarding my latest backup attempt:
[16:50:03] [FileBackup:admin Activity/36] : Creating Backup: Manual Backup
[16:50:10] [Minecraft Info/32] : Modpack cache is up-to-date.
[16:50:10] [Minecraft Warning/42] : Unable to get Bedrock version data from https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download/server/bedrock: Match not found.
[16:50:10] [Minecraft Info/42] : Trying second Bedrock info fallback…
[16:50:10] [Minecraft Info/31] : Latest Bedrock version: 1.21.31.04
[16:50:52] [FileBackup:admin Error/42] : Unable to add F:\AMPDatastore\Instances\IndustrialVillage01\Minecraft\world\region\r.0.8.mca to backup archive. Failing backup…

Why is it asking for bedrock version? I don’t use bedrock.

Ignore the bedrock stuff - that’s just legacy stuff in the minecraft module that for some reason has still not been removed

The error is in the last line. Are you trying to back up with the server stopped? Doing that will likely have a better result

Yes. The server is stopped when I try running a manual backup. What’s the next thing to check?
