Problem Description

Issue

This is the console error. “Exception in thread “main” java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: net/minecraft/bundler/Main has been compiled by a more recent version of the Java Runtime (class file version 65.0), this version of the Java Runtime only recognizes class file versions up to 52.0”

How can I fix this?
Thank you!

Reproduction Steps

  • Ive reinstalled java and the instance to the latest versions.
  • Ive tried with the default settings.
  • I have nothing else running

You have Java 8 selected, and that version needs Java 21 to run.
Install Java 21 on your system, stop/start the instance to refresh the Java runtimes list, then select Java 21.

Thank you! I am grateful for the assistance.
