OS Name/Version: Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS (GNU/Linux 6.8.0-59-generic x86_64)
Product Name/Version: 2.6.1.4 - 20250410.2
Problem Description: I can’t connect to my server using external Ip and port, it was working before I had to change my ethernet connection to the other socket so the Ipv4 changed. I made sure that it’s still port forwarded and everything but it still won’t connect. I installed tailscale to remedy the issue for now but sometimes it would be inconvenient to ask my friends to install tailscale just so they can join my server, is there any way I can fix this?
Steps to reproduce:
- Step 1 - shut down pc and move ethernet port to another socket because the other one won’t be recognized
- Step 2 - opened my pc then I saw the ipv4 had changed
- Step 3 - when I try to connect to my server using my external ip and port it won’t connect, local ip is fine though
Actions taken to resolve so far: Installed Tailscale so we can still play on it for now
