Minecraft server failing to start states cause as malformed JSON file at line 1 colum 1

Product Name/Version: AMP ‘Phobos’ v2.6.2.2 (Mainline)

Problem Description:After trying to start a superflat world with world edit i keep getting the error message below

com.google.gson.JsonParseException: com.google.gson.stream.MalformedJsonException: Use JsonReader.setStrictness(Strictness.LENIENT) to accept malformed JSON at line 1 column 1 path $

Steps to reproduce:

  • Start server with minecraft as the game
  • add in world edit as one of the mods
  • Start the server on super flat

Actions taken to resolve so far: checked if the mod was the problem,
