Server doesn’t go to sleep as it supposed to

Problem Description

Issue

When trying to sleep the server, it doesn’t go to sleep and hangs at preparing to sleep. Also shows unknown command. Previously thought that it’s related to my plugins, but it appears that it’s not.
Server is the latest purpur on 1.20.4

The log is showing this:
[06:38:00] [Minecraft Info] : Application stop requested
[00:38:00] [INFO]: Unknown command. Type “/help” for help.
[06:39:00] [Minecraft Warning] : Unexpected state after stop timeout: PreparingForSleep

Reproduction Steps

  • Start server
  • Wait for sleep
  • Server hangs at preparing to sleep

is this a modded mc server or bedrock cause some if not most mods can’t handle sleep and bedrock is a hit or miss from what ive tested

Not a modded server, though connection to it works through bungee if it’s somehow related

maybe i don’t know bungee all that much.

UPD: Fixed it with switching Unicode UTF-8 support off in windows administrative locale settings

Didn’t seem to isolate issue to anything until I started vanilla server, and then got this in the console:

Done (19.249s)! For help, type “help”

Unknown or incomplete command, see below for error

Really seems like a bug to me, since it’s not isolated to specific config or plugin or server jar, so I filed a bug report on github: Sleep not working correctly - Minecraft · Issue #997 · CubeCoders/AMP · GitHub
