Restarted the server and accidentally wiped my world

Problem Description

Issue

I thought that restarting would simply turn the server off and on again, and when I rejoined the world was wiped. I have a backup that I created before restarting the server. How do I reload that backup into the world?

Reproduction Steps

  • created a backup
  • restarted the world
  • rejoined server to a blank world

What do you mean by “Restarting”? What did you do exactly? If you’ve taken a backup then you can just select it from the backups tab and restore it.

Within the VPS management, I clicked the restart button to stop then start the server and apply a few settings that I had tweaked. When I rejoined it was a brand new world. I have tried to restore the backup, but every time I restore it and then restart the server to apply it, it doesn’t fix the problem.

It sounds like you’re talking about something outside AMP. If you’re renting a VPS that came with AMP preinstalled then you need to talk to the VPS provider.
